This goose egg, decorated in the traditional manner using beeswax and a kystka (writing tool), features many traditional symbols and designs. The star (rose or flower) reminds the viewer and artist of good will and good fortune. The many triangles can represent air, fire, and water or sun, thunder, and bonfire or the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The wolves’ teeth denote protection or loyalty and wisdom.
Red, orange, and yellow are featured in this egg. The colour red reflects action, courage and the joy of life and love. Orange can mean endurance and strength. Yellow is often a symbol of light and happiness.
While writing this egg, the artist reflected on the courage and strength needed, in measures large and small, to overcome challenges.
