A special addition to the collection, this pysanka was written in the Petrykivka style by renowned Ukrainian artist Kateryna Kryvolap. This traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style arose out of a folk art which was believed to have the magical power to protect from sorrow. Depictions of certain elements such as birds and flowers represented prosperity, harmony, and happiness.
In 2022, a painting of Kateryna's entitled "RECITAL IN AFFECTIONATE LOVE" was exhibited at Carrousel Du Louvre in Paris, and her artwork is currently featured at the Alberta Council for the Ukrainian Arts (ACUA) as their March Signature Artist.
How to purchase "Waiting"
This special pysanka will be featured in our SouthCentre display starting Tuesday, March 26. Offers for purchase will be accepted in a "silent auction" format with minimum bids set to $3,000 CAD. The silent auction begins at 8:00 AM on Friday and closes at 8:00 PM on Saturday. During that time, please submit your bids to info@WUNDERfund.ca. By submitting a bid, you agree that your bid comprises a binding agreement to purchase the pysanka, with winning bids chosen using a combination of price and email timestamps as recorded by the WUNDERfund email server.

Delivery: All pysanky purchases are to be collected in person at Southcentre Mall prior to 6:00 PM on Friday, April 5. All pysanky purchased but not collected will be shipped at the purchaser's cost using standard shipping rates. Purchasers will be responsible for taxes, duties, and all other shipping-related costs.
