These designs are from ancient Scythian textiles. The Scythian culture dates from 7th century BC to 3rd- century BC. Archeological sites are found in southern Ukraine, particularly in Crimea. Many artifacts have been stolen during the war and now reside in Russian museums or with private collectors.

"Broken Threads" will be finished live on site at Southcentre Mall! As of March 24, the pysanka is now complete! More photos to follow - but is best admired live.
