The inspiration for this design comes from April 2023 as he was writing a chicken-egg pysanka while the late snows were falling. The egg aims to show lots of positive energy and the prospect of returning warmth and the inevitable melt following winter. This pysanka was written in Banff (where Jon lives) and Calgary - where Jon is currently receiving daily radiation treatments at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. The artist is a confirmed believer in the therapeutic value of creativity!
